WHAT IS LINC?

The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada program is offered in L.I.N.C. classes across Canada. It is not an academic English language program. It is designed to assist newcomers to succeed in Canada. Our goal is to help you function and participate in all aspects of Canadian society and the economy. We practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.  The classroom is a safe place that helps students combat isolation,  gain confidence, and get answers to any questions they might have about life in Canada.

The LINC program is FREE!

We are open to all Permanent Residents, Temporary Foreign Workers, Provincial Nominees, Post-secondary International Students (eligible to work in Canada), Refugee Claimants, and Naturalized Citizens, who are over the age of 18. If you are not certain if you are eligible, come and see us.
  • We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced language classes.
  • We accept new students throughout the year.
  • There is free child minding available for children 18 months to 5 years old, while parents attend class.

To talk to the instructor about the best class for you, call 778-412-9333, email susan@caribooliteracy.com, or drop into the CCPL office in Village Square Mall, between 9 and 3 weekdays, to schedule an interview and a Canadian Language Benchmarks assessment.
